Description:
The field of equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization (EDI&D) is constantly changing and evolving, with this come various ways of being, doing, and knowing. The BIDE Institute recognizes the importance of this line of work, as well as the differentiating opinions, feelings, and beliefs that one may have when reflecting on and working within EDI&D. This workshop will invite participants to step into a space where safer and braver conversations can take place. BIDE acknowledges that we are all constantly learning and deepening our understanding of the obstacles and experiences faced by underrecognized populations. Through a hybrid of interactive and reflective activities, student leaders will walk away from this workshop with a personal commitment to, and an overall deeper appreciation for EDI&D efforts.
